| Trattoria Sant’Agostino23, situated in the historic premises that once belonged to the Trattoria Rinaldo, has recently opened in the Oltrarno area, the heart of the Florence of Vasco Pratolini and Ottone Rosai, between Santo Spirito and the Brancacci Chapel. Five young partners have opened a trattoria dedicated to people who love the Tuscan traditions but also platters of international gastronomic culture. The menu includes dishes that range from steak, tripe, osso buco, tuna and beans, tomato bread soup, to ribollita (vegetable bread soup) and panzanella (bread salad), together with a selection of popular international platters, such as gazpacho, bottarga, steak tartare, veal cutlets, fish & chips and hamburgers, all beautifully served with fresh vegetables and fried potatoes. Great care is given to the choice of really fresh prime materials, all purchased in the local shops.
