typology of institute Restaurant Cuisine Type: italian
| Situated in the ancient heart of Florence between Piazza Duomo and Santa Maria Novella, Sabatini has been open as a restaurant since 1924; now eighty-five years old, it is one of the great restaurants in Italy, where the staff welcoming its clients speaks several languages, including Japanese.
The name of “Sabatini” is known throughout Florence as a really good restaurant, enhanced by an elegant familiarity, and it has become a real rite to dine here.
A complete international cuisine is available with a variegated menu of fish and meat, though naturally the Tuscan traditions are honoured with the world famous steak (always cooked on a charcoal grill). Another distinctive element of the venue is its deep interest in the world of wine; the wine list in fact boasts a choice of five hundred labels. It is somewhat like a noble gastronomic club that, for almost a century, has hosted all the Florentines that count, as well as welcoming many exacting foreign customers who have already heard of “Sabatini” at home, long before coming to Italy.
Nothing is improvised, nothing is artificially built to astonish, what you breath inside Sabatini is the force of the tradition the only thing that matter, the only idea that is meant to persist in time!
Carlo and Claudio, who have contributed towards the progress of this great restaurant over the years, are now in charge of the New Management. They are certainly not lacking in courtesy and a ready smile after such a long time because their dreams have at last come true.
