Ristorante Il Bargello

Ristorante Il Bargello Ristorante Il Bargello is located in Piazza della Signoria alongside the Loggia dei Lanzi and just across the square from ancient Palazzo Vecchio. The Uffizi Gallery, a must for any art lover, is just around the corner. The restaurant occupies the site of the 14th century hostelry known as the Cella or Locanda del Buco, from which Chiasso del Buco, the narrow street beside it, derives its name. The structure of Il Bargello has changed very little since then. The entrance is different, as well as minor alterations to the rooms, but the spirit and substance of ancient Florentine culinary traditions are just the same. The refined and tasty menus are based on the typical Florentine cuisine, so acclaimed by Pietro Aretino, as in the past. The choice of dishes is vast and the staff are only to pleased to advise clients on the best platter of the day and a good wine to go with it. Although it looks small from the outside, the restaurant is very spacious within and can seat over 100 people, without forgetting its huge outside terrace that overlooks the whole of the beautiful and fascinating square.
