The Buca Mario restaurant was founded 1886 when its first owner and founder Mario Corsini decided to open his premises in the cellars of Palazzo Niccolini where he served soup and ribollita together in his wine tavern. The characteristic restaurant was so successful that it soon attracted many clients for its typical Florentine cuisine and has maintained its name to this day, continuing to offer all the flavours of real Tuscan cooking. The menu includes the famous Ribollita (Bread Soup), Pappa al Pomodoro (Tomato Soup and Bread Soup), as well as Ossobuco Florentine style and the famous Florentine Steaks. Naturally the restaurant also offers an excellent selection of wines.
